Dining

The Blue Heron restaurant overlooks Zeballos River, a perfect vantage point for watching bears, birds and other wildlife, feeding and nesting along its banks and estuary.
The dining room itself is charmingly appointed for style and comfort. A large deck is great for outdoor dining or cocktails.
The Blue Heron is an essential part of Cedars Inn, its owners, Dan and Cristina O'Connor are very particular about the way food looks and tastes. Specialties of the house include local salmon, halibut, tuna, oysters, prawns and clams. Pastas are true Italian style, served with freshly grated Parmigiano Reggiano.
Dessert and coffee? Try freshly baked cheesecake and local fruit crisps accompanied by an espresso or a latte. Or sip specialty teas, a shot of sambuca or a glass of Vancouver Island Port. The Blue Heron Restaurant has a well-stocked full-service bar featuring martinis, Caesars and liqueurs as well as a good assortment of BC wines and ales.
For breakfast try an omelet or a Benny made with Black Creek free-range eggs. For on-the-go travellers, Robbie's Breakfast Sandwich is fast & filling.
What the heck, indulge yourself, you're on a holiday! Try a little of everything!
